Scope of Works: Design, Fit Out, Furniture Installation
Ben Johnson had worked with Giles Insurance, supplying fit-out and furniture nationally for a number of years. When Gallagher Bassett acquired Giles Insurance, part of the merger was to review office locations. Giles Insurance moved from Compass House Morley to their Leeds City Centre Offices, freeing up the building for Gallagher Bassett to move from Rose Wharf. Ben Johnson worked in partnership with Harrow Green. the move management specialist to manage the office relocation and refurbishment. The business was planned over two floors, and had a natural split. The existing partitioning was to a high standard and was therefore re-used within the design scheme and any new partitioning matched to it.
Challenges involved working around the existing aircon units to avoid costly reconfiguration.
New partitions were added to accommodate the new organisational layout and manifestation with the Gallagher Bassett logo was applied to both the original and new partitioning. Existing furniture included desks and storage was relocated by Harrow Green and a small proportion of new furniture provided by Ben Johnson. New furniture included new task chairs throughout, breakout furniture & meeting furniture.

Working with Ben Johnson during the fit out was a great experience. The level of planning involved was exceptional and given the complexities of the office relocation combined with the office fit out and the business critical nature of such a project, I found that the team from Ben Johnson were always a step ahead.
