Our Culture

We are proud of the culture we are building here at Ben Johnson, but don’t just take our word for it,

here’s what a few of our team members think :

Peter Boden

“Within a very short amount of time after joining, the family feel of the company became evident. I feel honoured to have been the first apprentice. It demonstrates a willingness to invest and trust in young people.”

Zoe Duffy

“The company have been really keen to help me develop my skills and learn new ones through on-going training and support whenever I’ve needed it. I have benefited hugely from this. I have been able to work flexibly, which has been so important when juggling work and being a mum. I can honestly say I love my job.”

Simon Vasey

“I have worked at Ben Johnson for 13 years in the furniture department, starting out as a fitter and progressing to Delivery & Installation Manager. It is a great place to work. I have always found that hard work is well recognised and well rewarded which has always motivated me to progress.”

We have been operating an Advanced Apprenticeship in Performing Engineering Operations since 2012 in partnership with Derwent Training. Since then we have adopted and trained three apprentices: Pete, Marcin and Ben who are all now integral members of our Technical Services team.

If you have an interest in engineering, and would enjoy a role that is a mix of office and site-based service and maintenance work then please contact Alix Hobbs.
