The Brief
The client was looking to expand into a new office space and therefore, costs for design, fit-out and furniture were a big part of their decision making for undertaking their new office.
The client contacted us early into the process in order to understand the intricacies of an office renovation project, so we worked closely with them from the beginning to ensure they got what they needed from the space and created a workplace to meet the needs of the organisation for years to come.
The space was to comprise a stylish waiting/reception area, workspaces for staff and company directors, a boardroom and separate video conferencing/meeting room, as well as partitioning the space to get the best flow possible.
The Solution
As we were consulted from the very beginning before the client had even moved into their space, we were able to give guidance and insight from the start, really getting to understand the business and what they needed from their working environment in order to provide a design for their review. Once settled on this, our team got to work on furniture and fit-out costings so these could be factored into the decision-making process.
Morgan Lambert wanted a stylish but functional workspace, utilising partitions and glass manifestations to create meeting rooms, as well as making a feature of their break-out space with pendant lighting.
The acoustics were a key consideration for the client, so we utilised double-boarding on all walls with Rockwool in the ceiling to provide the best acoustic experience. All glazing elements were double glazed for the same purpose. Finally, the electrics and radiators were relocated to fit the new layout and we utilised the existing tea point but removed all other existing fittings and partitions to implement a completely new scheme.
A summary of the finished project:
The finished space is clean, functional and stylish, with branding touches throughout and clever partitioning that isn’t invasive or too divisive. Utilising a lot of glass has kept as much natural light in as possible, whilst other simple touches such as pendant lighting, glass manifestations and subtle use of brand colours bring the Morgan Lambert aesthetic to life in a natural way.
