The Brief

Yorkshire Housing act as a government agency for Help to Buy in the North East, and Yorkshire and Humber regions, helping people onto the housing ladder.

When consolidating offices across the Yorkshire region into one central HQ, Yorkshire Housing appointed Ben Johnson as furniture consultants. Our brief was to audit the existing furniture in the various office locations and determine what could be reused, sourcing new were appropriate. We were also asked to specify breakout furniture for the ground floor canteen area and tea points per floor and source a flexible, statement meeting solution for what would be the new multifunctional boardroom/training facility.

The Solution

New Senator workstations were provided for the work areas to match the existing furniture. Allermuir Casper stools, chairs and tables were used in the kitchen breakout areas, with a different colour used per floor inline with the Yorkshire Housing brand colours. We approached Hands to create a high quality, flexible, boardroom table. The Transend Tables work in a variety of different configurations, creating a statement when used as a traditional boardroom yet flexible to meet the businesses training needs.

Hands and Ben Johnson understood and delivered on our brief to have a statement conference table, with the ability to provide a number of dynamic layouts requiring only a single user to facilitate. The quality of service support and end product has exceeded our expectations.
