The Brief

Being an expanding North East private taxi hire company, Blueline appointed Ben Johnson to help them develop the building shell of their new offices into a fully functional HQ they could be proud of.

The offices were over two floors with call centre and boardroom on the first floor, and offices, training room and breakout on the ground floor. Ben Johnson Ltd were asked to deliver a total turnkey solution, taking the building from a shell with exposed block work and no services, completing all CAT A and B works in time for the client’s grand opening.

The Solution

All the block work had to be dry-lined / plastered and all services installed including mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Offices and meeting rooms were constructed with a mixture of solid and glazed partitions, and suspended ceilings with lighting and air-conditioning added throughout.

All the doors were walnut finish with silver ironmongery and coordinating furniture finishes with walnut tops and white frames. Integral blinds and Security Roller shutters were installed on all the windows. Carpet, kitchens, toilets and shower were also within the Ben Johnson scope of works, as well as the specification and supply of all the new office furniture.

We were impressed with Ben Johnson Ltd’s attention to detail, the laymen’s method in which they described all works, and the very clear and precise way the pricing was explained and negotiated. The final product exceeded all expectations. Ben Johnson’s attitude to the customer and the work to be carried out is phenomenal.
