We were to provide design proposals and an indicative programme for the creation of the new MEPC office and their marketing/sales suite in Wellington Place. The office was to provide work space for five employees and associated storage and equipment.
The design was broken down into several zones:
- Meet and greet area – Soft seating and feature lighting that was both welcoming and stylish were selected, together with ideas and products to clearly display branding and literature.
- Working Zone – It was necessary for this area to be tucked away but without fixed partition walls, to give the MEPC team privacy while the space was being used by other visitors. A workstation pod was created, with a choice of desk height, along with good quality ergonomic task chairs and ample storage.
- Flexible entertainment space – This zone was placed in front of the large feature windows which looked onto the courtyard. Passers-by could see the range of events MEPC were holding. Blinds also enabled the zone to be closed off for private meetings and training.
- Meeting Zone – A large boardroom table with built-in technology and a media wall to present to prospective clients was installed.
