We design and built reception and waiting areas with practicality and patient comfort in mind. Staff security is a priority, with desks often enclosed with CCTV and security screens. Other measures may include direct lines to treatment rooms and fob-secured doors. Lighting, furniture, finishes, heating, and cooling are all considered. Flooring may be vinyl or carpet, contrasting wellbeing and clinical areas. Accessible WCs comply with current regulations, including raised toilets, grab rails, and outward-opening doors. Corridors and high-traffic areas feature durable, low-maintenance finishes, often with infection-control cladding and slip-resistant flooring. Signage may include feature graphics and colour to aid wayfinding and create visual interest.
