Following a period of significant growth, Blackboard ConnectTxt (previously Txttools) were relocating to a larger space. As the procurement was being handled in the United States, the client was especially interested in an organisation who could offer a turnkey solution, managing the whole process from interior design right through to fit-out, furniture supply and interior branding.
As principal contractor our works included partitioning, feature lighting, joinery, graphics, carpets and mechanical and electrical alterations. Although a relatively straight forward project, the main challenge was the mechanical alterations. The building’s listed status meant that comms room ventilation had to be created using a customised louvre window which was in keeping with the building’s exterior.
The choice of furniture solution was key to supporting the various working styles across the company, and Ben Johnson’s independent furniture division were well placed to meet the challenge. The solution included benches with double screens, localised personal lockers, high density roller racking and a variety of meeting and breakout furniture.
Everyone here is very happy and excited about their new space. Bobby and his team were a pleasure to work with, I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of guys.
